Home and Away confirms Tane and Brax’s shock story – as the two fan favourites meet

Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-paced episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away is airing a big event week this week, and part of it that is the highly-anticipated return of Brax and Ricky, as they meet up with Tane as part of his current storyline.

Evil Kerrie framed Tane by planting a bag of drugs in baby Archie’s cot and calling the police on him. Although people tried to help him prove his innocence, it was looking increasingly likely that he will get sent to prison.

In scenes airing this week, Tane’s attorney advises him to plead guilty, but Mack comes to him with another plan: go on the run.

She gets her brother Dean to call up Brax in the Western Australian outback. But the question is, will Brax risk the happy life he’s built in order to take in a fugitive he’s never met before?

Brax actor Stephen Peacocke spoke about where his character is nowadays, telling Australia’s TV Week: “For all his faults, Brax is always about his family and that has shifted now from his brothers to Ricky and Casey.

“He’s matured and is very protective of Casey and the life that they’ve got. He’s keeping Casey out of any kind of life that he grew up with, and he’s proud that he’s doing that.”

While Brax might be hesitant to get involved, Peacocke jumped at the chance to return to the soap.

“I was made aware that it had been a decade away, so when it came up, I really wanted to do it,” the actor said.

“And it was on a remote cattle station and an hour away from a world-class reef, that was a sweetener. I knew the audience will enjoy it and I don’t take that for granted.”

Home and Away drops new episodes on weekdays at 6am on 5’s streaming service with a 6.30pm screening on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.

In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and streams on 7Plus.

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Wednesday’s episode (4 March), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.

Coronation Street gives Gail Chadwick another mention tonight, as the Platt family face a tense day. While Gail may have left the show for good, it seems that she’s still fiercely protective over her family as she frets about them from afar.

In Wednesday’s episode, it’s the day of baby Harper’s operation and emotions run high as David and Shona worry about the outcome for their little girl. But it appears that they’re not the only ones feeling anxious.

During an early scene at the Platt house, Nick Tilsley takes a call from Gail, who’s checking in from France. Nick is frustrated as Gail presses him for details about worst-case scenarios.

“She wants me to tell her all the risks,” Nick informs the others.

Nick also references another absent character when he adds: “[Gail] just wants to make sure that Max is kept up to date.”

Later at the hospital, Gail remains a talking point as the Platts bicker over who should respond to her worried messages on the family group chat. Before the day is out, will there be positive news that the clan can share with her?

Fans can see how the story plays out in full when the episode airs on ITV1 tonight, or it’s streaming early now on ITVX and YouTube.

Helen Worth, who played Gail, bowed out from the show at Christmas 2024 after an incredible 50-year run. Gail left for a fresh start in France after tying the knot with Jesse Chadwick.

On Christmas Day 2025, Gail made a cameo as she sent a festive video message to her family.

In tonight’s scenes, though, we don’t see footage of Gail in person – with her contributions all taking place off-camera.

Max Turner, meanwhile, made his final appearance in March 2025 after being sentenced to six years in prison for an arson attack on the Platt family home. In tonight’s scenes, Bethany promises to speak to him on the phone over how Harper’s operation goes.

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.

EastEnders shares another major New Year flashforward clue

EastEnders spoilers follow for Wednesday’s episode (4 March).

EastEnders may have shared another major New Year flashforward clue in tonight’s episode as Linda Carter and Max Branning grew closer. After Max took it upon himself to teach cocky Tim (the man who blackmailed Linda’s son Johnny) a lesson by pretending to be a cab driver, ditching him in a backstreet, and kicking him, Linda visited Max at the car lot to show her gratitude.

“Please tell me he cried just a little bit?” Linda asked, as she revealed Max’s scare tactics had ensured Johnny received his money.

“Yeah, he did. Like a newborn who just had his bum slapped,” Max responded, while Linda shot him a coy smile.

Linda admitted Max’s actions had won over Elaine and joked he should think twice if her mum invited him to her “boudoir” to say a more intimate thank you. Flirty Max responded: “She’s not really my type” and the two shared lingering glances.

But the gazing into each other’s eyes was interrupted by Lauren, who burst into the car lot office to ask her dad to speak to a customer.

A deflated Max apologised to Linda, who looked equally disappointed their flirty moment had been cut short.

“Whatever makes your life, Annie’s life, easier, I’m there,” he told her.

Viewers already know the twosome gave into temptation and kissed last month. However, their relationship soured again after Linda discovered Max’s grandson Louie had been bullying her son Ollie and Max lied to her about it.

However, their latest eye contact-filled scenes give the strongest hint yet that Linda could be the mystery bride Max was preparing to marry in the New Year’s Day flashforward episode (even though he woke up with another woman in his bed).

The BBC soap began hinting the blushing bride was Linda earlier this year, but then shut down the romance theory last month after the twosome’s falling out.

Linda even told her baby daddy at the time: “There will never ever be an us. I can’t risk it for me or Annie.”

But is she changing her mind?

EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
