Police torment for George in Coronation Street – and it’s Christina’s fault

George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley) is about to face an absolute nightmare in Coronation Street, and it’s all because of his partner Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins).

Yesterday, Christina was in the Undertakers with George and made a joke about inveigling his way into clients’ will. He was left completely mortified after, as George discovered potential client Mrs Ripley had overheard the entire exchange.

Tomorrow, George tells Christina that he’s thinking of turning down the £10k from Annie’s mother’s will to save the aggro. Christina can see this from a different perspective though, and suggests it might look like an admission of guilt.

Things go from bad to worse for the couple, as Adam reveals that Annie thinks Christina is George’s co-conspirator, and intends to sue them.

The reputation of the funeral parlour is hugely important to George, as it was once owned by his father. Negative feedback gets sorted quickly, but George is going to find that very difficult when he discovers a number of fake one star reviews online. In an attempt to combat the negative ones, Glenda Shuttleworth (Jodie Prenger) furiously starts posting five star reviews about the business.

Towards the end of next week, Christina reveals that she’s reported Annie to the police for defamation.

It’s another way of her trying to help, but George finds himself facing trouble with the law as he’s taken to the station for questioning over Annie’s fraud allegation.

Feeling completely overwhelmed, George calls a crisis meeting with Christina and Glenda. As they try and reach a conclusion on what to do, they’re interrupted as George’s solicitor is calling.
