Meanwhile, Daniel Osbourne’s (Rob Mallard) plan to hide out in his flat takes an unexpected turn when he gets a surprise visitor.

Will and Megan meet for a clandestine chat in the ginnel at the precinct, and she once again twists the truth about their baby, though Will seems largely unaffected as he suggests they try again at a later time.

When Megan learns that Will has stolen £2000 from the pub, she is horrified, but he’s convinced it’s the answer to their problems.

Though at first she demands he return it, fearing it could be traced back to them, Will assures her that there’s no way the family will suspect him – and by the time they do, it will be too late.

If there’s one person on Coronation Street who has The Audacity, it’s Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown), and she demonstrates it with ease as she lets herself into Daniel’s supposedly empty flat.

Only, Daniel hasn’t gone anyway, and he gets the fright of his life when he exits the bathroom and finds her standing in the kitchen.

When her instinctual tactic of faking neighbourly kindness by insisting she’s there to return a lost key fails to pass Daniel’s in-built lie detector, she quickly pivots and resorts to blackmail.
