FAN-FAVOURITE characters from two TV titans are joining forces to feature on supersoap Corriedale.

The hour-long special edition episode kicks off ITV’s new schedule for Coronation Street and Emmerdale, dubbed the ‘soap power hour’.

What is the soap power hour?

Coronation Street and Emmerdale are moving from their regular schedules in the new year.

Emmerdale currently airs at 7.30pm every weeknight, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.

While Corrie has three hour-long episodes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

ITV has confirmed it will launch the channel’s new ‘soap power hour’ scheduling pattern for the two ITV staples.

The new format features 30-minute episodes of both soaps every weekday, with Emmerdale at 8pm followed by Coronation Street at 8.30pm on ITV.
